Coming Soon: Canon EOS Rebel T7i, EOS 77D & EOS M6

Canon has announced the upcoming release of three new cameras, two DSLRs and one mirrorless, all scheduled to be available in April 2017.

EOS Rebel T7i

The new T7i is Canon’s latest entry-level compact DSLR, with a number of new and upgraded features to distinguish it from its predecessor (T6i).  Most notably, it features a 45-point cross-type AF system, a first in the Rebel series, plus Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus and the new DIGIC 7 image processor.  It offers 24.2 MP resolution, ISO up to 25,600, and continuous shooting up to 6 frames per second.  Plus, a 3-inch vari-angle touchscreen gives users plenty of freedom when composing and viewing photos and videos, and built-in wireless makes sharing quick and easy.

Canon EOS 77D

For more advanced shooters who want a little something extra that doesn’t break the bank. the EOS 77D is an ideal choice.  The EOS 77D shares many features with the aforementioned Rebel T7i, but adds useful manual shooting controls and other advanced features to entice more seasoned amateur photographers.  Specifically, the EOS 77D offers a rear quick control dial and a top status LCD display for faster, more complete control.  Like the more expensive EOS 80D, the 77D includes a 7650-pixel RGB+IR Metering Sensor, as well as an Anti-Flicker shooting mode to help deal with certain types of artificial lighting.

Canon EOS M6

The Canon EOS M series continues to evolve with the M6, designed for enthusiasts.  The size of the camera gives advanced shooters an excellent, portable alternative to a bulky DSLR, while still providing excellent image quality and plenty of manual control.  Notable features include in-camera five-axis digital image stabilization, top controls for mode and exposure compensation, a real controller wheel, and a 180-degree tilting 3-inch touchscreen.
