The Sony VCT-R640 is a lightweight, high-quality tripod that is designed for easy portability and maximum stability. Constructed from light, strong aluminum, the 3-section, tubular legs allow for exceptional stability indoors or out. Quick-flip leg locks allow the user to adjust the height of each leg with ease, and an elevating center column gives this tripod even more range, up to 61.4 inches (approx. 1.5m) high.

In addition, the VCT-R640 features a pan & tilt head – complete with handle – for precise control and smooth movement. A quick-release mounting plate makes camera removal and attachment a snap. The head can be quickly tilted 90 degrees for easy vertical shooting.

This lightweight, tough tripod supports up to 6.6 pounds (3kg) of equipment, while the tripod itself weighs only 2.6 pounds (1179g). All this can be folded down into a compact package that is just 21 inches (53.3cm) long.
