Canon has announced the upcoming release of two new digital SLR cameras -- the flagship of the Rebel line, the Rebel T5i, and the world's smallest and lightest DSLR, the Rebel SL1.
The Rebel T5i incorporates the superb image quality and innovative features of previous Rebel models, and introduces new advanced features including 7 Creative Filters (ArtBold, Water Painting, Grainy B&W, Soft Focus, Toy Camera, Fish-Eye and Miniature). It also features advanced shooting modes such as Handheld Night Scene, HDR Backlight Control and Multi-Shot Noise Reduction. A new mode dial with Scene Modes has also been included in the new camera. Canon expects to have this camera ready for launch in April 2013.
The new Rebel SL1 is 25% smaller and 28% lighter than a Rebel T4i, and only slightly wider than the EOS M, making it the smallest and lightest DSLR in the world! Featuring a newly-developed 18-megapixel CMOS APS-C sensor and an ISO range of 100-12800, it performs spectacularly even in low light. It sports a 9-point center cross-type AF system, full HD video shooting, and a 3-inch Touch Screen for intuitive operation. The SL1 should also be available this April.
