Sigma has announced several new products including a very compact, full-frame mirrorless camera, as well as three new lenses designed for Sony E-Mount and L-Mount cameras.
Sigma fp Camera
The Sigma fp, introduced as the world’s smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless camera, is a very intriguing product. Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art for Sony E-Mount and L-Mount Cameras
Sigma also announced a trio of new lenses coming soon for the Sony E-Mount and L-Mount (Leica, Panasonic Lumix S, Sigma fp) systems.
Versatile and widely coveted by Sony shooters looking for an more affordable alternative to first-party offerings, this 14-24mm f/2.8 has long been available for both Canon and Nikon, but now with optimized native Sony and Lumix mounting options, it brings Sigma’s coveted wide angle zoom to an ever-growing audience of mirrorless shooters.
The new lens should be available for both mounts in August 2019 for an estimated price of $1,399 USD.
Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary
Sigma is, of course, known for its stellar prime lens options, and a new standard focal length lens has also been announced. With a more conservative maximum aperture, this new lens gives users the sharpness and resolution that full-frame shooters want with less size and weight, while still offering smooth bokeh and good low-light capability.
This 45mm lens will be available later this summer in both E-Mount and L-Mount for an expected retail price of $549 USD.
Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG DN ART
Of course, if you want the most versatile focal length with an ultra-fast aperture, Sigma has also announced a 35mm f/1.2 lens for E-Mount and L-Mount systems. The first f/1.2 large-diameter lens in Sigma’s lineup, this chunky lens provides extreme light-gathering capability for use in low-light situations, and also offers a remarkably shallow depth of field.
This 35mm f/1.2 Art lens will be available later this summer for both E-Mount and L-Mount, with an estimated price of $1,499 USD.
And remember, once these lenses become available, you can get all these products at your local (but shipping worldwide!) camera shop, Cameta Camera.
