Returns: Refunds & Exchanges
Cameta Camera is proud to offer a 30 day return or exchange policy on most items. We will offer a full refund (excluding shipping charges) or exchange for qualifying items returned within 30 days of the order date.

All returns must be pre-authorized through our Customer Service Department, and must be sent back to us in exactly the same condition as you received it. All items must be new and in original boxes. In order to be eligible for return, the UPC code must still be attached to the box. All internal packing materials, instruction manuals, BLANK warranty cards and accessories must also be included for any replacement, exchange, or refund.

Please save your receipt as a record of your purchase. All returned goods MUST be accompanied by a copy of your receipt.

After receiving authorization from us, please ship your merchandise (adequately packaged) back to Cameta Camera. Please do not write on, or place shipping labels or stickers, on the manufacturer's packaging. All items must be shipped freight-prepaid, and insured for the full value of the returned product(s). Sorry, Cameta Camera cannot accept COD or freight-collect shipments. We recommend you keep a tracking number for your protection.

Non-defective items, that qualified for "free shipping" on the original order and are being returned, will have the standard shipping charges deducted from the amount of the refund or credit.

Please be aware that we cannot accept returns on the following items unless they are shown to be defective in manufacture (as decided by the manufacturer):

Underwater equipment (once taken underwater)
Inkjet printers (once ink cartridge/ribbon has been installed)
Processing equipment (once used with chemicals)
Educational DVDs, Tapes and Books once opened
Blister-packed items once opened
Original manufacturer software once opened
Special Order merchandise
IMPORTANT: The UPC code must still be attached to the box. If it has been removed, then the item is not eligible for return.

For the protection of our customers we also cannot allow returns on all consumables, including but not limited to recordable media such as digital memory (unless unused or defective in manufacture as determined by the manufacturer), film, videotapes, or blank CD/DVDs, as well as batteries, paper, chemicals, ink, bulbs, etc.

Please be aware that we cannot be responsible for personal data (contained on memory cards or recorded on built-in camera memory) or items left in returned merchandise.

If any of the above conditions are not met, Cameta Camera reserves the right to refuse the return or charge a restock fee of not less than 15%, at our sole discretion.

Please inspect your purchase carefully. Claims for damaged or missing items must be received within five (5) business days from date of delivery. In the event of equipment received which has been damaged in delivery, all shipping boxes and packing material must be retained for inspection by the shipping carrier. After receiving a damaged shipment, please contact our Customer Service Department immediately for instructions at (800) 991-3350 or (631) 389-2138 (Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM, Saturday 9AM-5PM).

Refunds on returned items which were paid by money order or certified check will only be made by company check after a 10 business day waiting period.

Warranty Info & Repair Service (New, Refurbished, Used)
NEW Equipment Warranty:
All our new equipment is covered by the manufacturer's official USA warranty. The duration of the various manufacturers' warranties varies from company to company and from product to product. Please see the actual manufacturer's warranty enclosed with your product for details.

Refurbished & Factory Demo Equipment Warranty:
All refurbished and factory demo equipment is guaranteed to work, regardless of its cosmetic condition. Refurbished equipment is guaranteed for 90 days from the manufacturer. Cameta Camera extends this warranty to 1 year from the date of purchase.

USED Equipment Warranty:
All used equipment is guaranteed to work, regardless of its cosmetic condition unless it is clearly marked "As-Is" or being sold for parts. Used photo equipment is guaranteed for 6 months from date of purchase. Click here for more info

Extended Warranties:
Extended warranties are available for New, Refurbished, Factory Demo, and Used equipment. Prices vary depending on the duration of the warranty and the value of the equipment. Please call our sales department at 1-800-991-3350 for pricing information.


Cameta Camera will not be responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise purchased from us. Cameta Camera's liability is limited to the monetary value of the merchandise.

USA Shipping Information
The delivery time frame is dependent upon the shipping method chosen. Not all delivery locations allow for the same shipping methods so only those services available will be provided upon checkout.

For standard shipping orders Cameta Camera will select the shipping service used based on the weight and size of the package being shipped. The following is a list of possible shipping methods that may be used and transit time estimates.

STANDARD SHIPPING (1-7 business days on average)

FedEx Ground (for business addresses) *
FedEx Home Delivery (for residential addresses) * †

* Transit / business days for ALL services excludes Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

PO Boxes:
Due to the fact FedEx cannot deliver to a PO Box, a USPS service method will automatically be chosen for those locations.


FedEx Standard Overnight
Delivery by 3PM the following business day to most areas, 4:30PM to some rural areas (by 8PM to residences)
This service is not available to Hawaii or Alaska
Transit days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or holidays

FedEx 2 Day
Delivery by 4:30PM on the 2nd business day after shipping to most areas (8PM for residences)
Certain shipments to Alaska and Hawaii may take 3 business days
Transit days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or holidays

FedEx Express Saver (3 Day)
Delivery by 4:30PM on the 3rd business day after shipping to most areas (8PM for residences)
This service is not available to Alaska or Hawaii
Transit days do not include Saturdays, Sundays or holidays

Note Regarding Military Addresses: Unfortunately, due to USPS restrictions, we are unable to offer shipping to a military location for any order that contains a lithium-ion battery. Any order that does not contain a lithium-ion battery can be accepted.

Free Shipping Policy
Items that qualify for free shipping are identified with the following symbols.

Only items shipping to a U.S. address may qualify for free shipping.
Items weighing less than 1 pound will ship to all U.S. addresses via USPS 1st Class Mail.
Items weighing over 1 pound are limited to the lower 48 U.S. states (FPO/APO, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, etc. excluded) and will ship via FedEx Ground / FedEx Home Delivery.

To determine which free shipping method is available for your order, please use the shipping calculator on the checkout page. Upgraded shipping options, such as next-day delivery, will still be available during the checkout process.

International Shipping Info
The delivery time frame is directly dependent upon the shipping method selected for the order.

Cameta Camera offers USPS First Class Mail International, USPS Express Mail International, FedEx International Priority and FedEx International Economy based on the weight and size of the package being shipped.

* Any order that contains a lithium-ion battery must be shipped via FedEx due to USPS restrictions. Any order that contains a lithium-ion battery can NOT be shipped to a military address. We thank you for your understanding.

USPS First Class Mail International takes approximately 5-7 business days in transit on average to reach customs.
USPS Express Mail International takes approximately 3-5 business days in transit on average to reach customs.
FedEx International Economy takes approximately 2-5 business days in transit on average to reach customs.
FedEx International Priority takes approximately 1-3 business days in transit on average to reach customs.

Once the package arrives at customs it will be processed and delivered to you. Processing times at customs will vary, and we are unable to confirm how long customs may take.

IMPORTANT: "Business Days" are Monday-Friday (except holidays). Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days.

LOCAL FEES: On orders shipped outside the USA there may be local customs or duties. Please be aware that all countries have different procedures and fees for incoming packages. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. If you fail to pay local duties or taxes and your package is returned to us your shipping fee will not be refunded.

International packages cannot be marked as a "gift" and cannot be shipped to hotels, motels, resorts or schools.

There are instances when a manufacturer asks us (and other Authorized Dealers) not to advertise certain items on our website, even though we sell them in our store and through our Mail Order Department. There are also situations where manufacturers request their Authorized Dealers not to list their actual selling price for certain products but rather to list the manufacturer's Minimum Advertised Price. At Cameta Camera we always do our best to honor these manufacturer requests but are nevertheless committed to offer the best prices we can to our customers.

Therefore, if there is a product that you are interested in that you do not see on our website or you wish to verify our actual lowest selling price on a Minimum Advertised Price product, please call our Sales Department at 1-800-991-3350 to check on availability and pricing.

Sales Tax
Cameta Camera collects sales tax only on orders being shipped to an address within New York State, or if an order is picked up at our NY location, as is required by law. Sales tax is calculated to be the same as your local New York sales tax. Please be aware that the amount of the shipping charge is also taxable. There is no tax collected for orders shipped outside of New York State .

If you have Resale or Tax Exempt status, please place your order by phone, since we do not have this option available on our web site at this time. We will require that you fax us your Tax Exempt or Resale Certificate before we process your order.

Payment Methods
We accept PayPal, Amazon Payments (Checkout with Amazon), MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or Discover. We do not accept Diner's Club, and cannot accept check or COD orders on our web site at this time.

Can I order items online for pick up the Cameta Camera retail store?

Our Merchant Agreement with our Credit Card Processor requires that all orders picked up in-person must be paid for in-person by the cardholder with the credit card present. Therefore we are not able to have orders placed through the internet and picked up at our retail store.

Rebates / UPC Codes
Rebate information is provided for informational purposes only and does not promise or imply eligibility to receive the rebate. Please ensure your purchase meets the manufacturer's rebate requirements.

Products offering mail-in rebates are not returnable once the rebates have been filed. Be sure that the product is functional and that you intend to keep the product before sending in for your rebate. Products missing UPC codes or serial numbers from the box are NOT returnable, are non-refundable, and will be rejected. Only the product manufacturer can replace any defective item missing the UPC code.

Packages & Kits
Packages and Kits contain multiple items offered together at a discounted price. Purchasing multiple units of a Package or a Kit that features a mail-in rebate may yield only one redeemable rebate offer (per the manufacturer's "limit one per household" provision). If you wish to return a Package Special for a refund, you must return the ENTIRE Package within the specified return period from the date of purchase. Components within a Package may be returned for replacement only. Individual items may only be returned for replacement if a Return Authorization number is acquired within the Standard Return period.

Please note: In most cases a Package/Kit discount has been applied to each item. You will be refunded the discounted price, which may differ substantially from the price if you purchased it individually.

Back-ordered Items
On occasion, items do sell out. If an item is sold out, it will display "Out of Stock" next to the product image on the full product description page. On very rare occasions, even when an item is in stock at the time on order is placed; it might become back-ordered due to too many people placing orders at one time. If this is the case, and you have placed an order, you will receive an email alerting you that this item is back-ordered. We place immediate orders with the manufacturer to replenish any item that goes out of stock, and we usually receive them very quickly. Please be assured that we do our best to obtain these for you as quickly as possible.

To Cancel or Change an Order
If you need to cancel or make a change to your order, please call our Customer Service Department (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) immediately at 1-800-991-3350 or 1-631-389-2138. Emailing is not effective for this purpose, as your order may ship before we can respond to your email. Please be aware that it may not be physically possible to retrieve an order once it has been processed and has been moved to the Shipping Department.

While we make every effort to ensure the product information and pricing on is accurate and current, there may be instances where inaccurate or incomplete data is displayed due to human error. In the event item data is incorrect, such as listed with an incorrect price, inaccurate availability, or with incorrect information, shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. In the event an item is incorrectly priced,, at our discretion, will do one of the following:

If an item is priced lower than the displayed price, you will be charged the lower amount and we will ship the item.

If an item is priced higher than the stated amount, we will either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. If we cancel your order after your payment has been processed, we will issue you a full refund.

We reserve the right to correct errors and/or update the content on our website at any time without notice.
